On Friday March 16th we will have parent teacher conferences. I am so excited to share your children's progress this year! Each conference will last about 10-15 minutes. Try to arrive a few minutes early or right on time to help us stay on track with the schedule. That being said, if you think you will need more than 15 minutes please email me and we can schedule a different day for your conference.
On Friday we practiced our Lockdown drill for sheltering in place.
First of all I want you to know that your child’s safety and well-being are my utmost priority everyday! I wanted to let you know how we handle the Lockdown drill at school.
We were so fortunate to have Mrs. Haman, Stella's grandmother, visit our class today. She brought pictures, books, and even a model of the space shuttle to share. Mrs. Haman, who is a former NASA engineer, worked on a team that helped to launch the space shuttles. What a truly wonderful experience for our kids to have! Today is Chinese New Year which is a tradition celebrated throughout Asia. Miss Julie, Brooke's mom, came to talk to the kids about how her family celebrates and even gave each of the kids a tradition gift. Wednesday was the 100th day of school at WHAM! We celebrated by making a necklace of 100 Fruit Loops and a hat with 100 little stickers! I wonder how many Fruit Loops were still on your child’s necklace by the time they got home😉! Thank you for all the canned good donations! The kids were so proud to be helping others! What a wonderful seed to plant in your little one’s heart!
